About Jules

Everyone is a
model at heart.

This statement probably makes me more millennial than Taylor Swift’s 1989, but I truly believe it. My modeling career showed me the magic that can happen when a professional photographer uncovers the inner light that makes you stand out… effortlessly

If you’re open to letting your guard down, then I’m game to go there. I’ll dig deep to help you find a kind of real that’s about more than polished photos. When you walk out of my photography studio, I want you to feel empowered to take on the world.

Because I know what it’s like to stare down that camera.

Studio - Professional Headshot - Lifestyle - Black and white photos - Northern Michigan - Traverse City

I moved to New York City right out of high school to pursue modeling without so much as a roommate or a plan. I put it all on the line at casting calls, worked multiple jobs to get by, walked some runways, and learned the difference between images that simply sell a product and photography that makes the model come alive.

Today, this unique insight + a dose of gut instinct helps me bring out the best in you.

Anyone who takes pretty pictures can call themselves a photographer, but I believe the most authentic and impactful photography isn’t just about the final images–it’s about the experience

Modeling showed me all the little details that make a shot THE shot.

Modeling also proved other people recognized what I’d always seen in myself. Younger Jules was loud and outgoing, but she was also teased relentlessly growing up. (This tends to happen when you’re a pre-teen who choreographs and performs her own dance solos.)

My family moved around a lot, so years of being the “new kid” taught me to make friends fast and go after what I wanted without regret. There has never been a time when I believed I couldn’t do something—and that’s the kind of self-trust I want for you.

Photographs alone don't get you there. But the process of creating those photos can.

My superpower is getting you to go beyond what’s comfortable to discover what’s possible. No more cheesy chin tilts, overdone poses, or stiff headshots. I’ve been photographed from every angle, and I know you can do more than you think.

The best part? Creating bespoke lifestyle photos that ‘do more’ can be simple… so long as you have a guide who knows what it’s like to be on your side of the camera.

Does a candid photoshoot with me result in lasting images that are fun as hell to create? 100%.

Photos without a shelf life you’ll want to share everywhere? Absolutely.

But at its core, our time together is about unleashing a radical self-confidence you’ll carry into the rest of your life.

You only get one, so let’s get started.

From print work, to runways, Miss WA USA, questionable makeup, wardrobe, and clients, to changing my hair way too many times - I can say I have seen it all and that makes me even better at my job because I know what feels right for my brand and what I want to provide my clients.
